From this Vantage Point
by Steve Klepetar

You can see seven
brothers with their
caps of fur dancing
in a silver stream.
Three pairs like twins
and the seventh
stands taller than
the rest, a tower
of skinny limbs.
All night they have
danced there, as if
under some witch’s
spell or maybe
it’s your eyes
tearing in this late
winter wind.
Who knows?
From this vantage
point it may be
nothing but games
of light on water,
colored caverns
bridging earth
or a bird cutting
through the sky
flooding the world
with its magic tail.
